The BARC community took part in the prestigious GLOBSEC 2025 forum in Prague, organizing an expert panel “Beyond the Fog: Understanding Belarus’s Role in Europe’s Security Future”. In the context of Belarus’s growing international isolation and Russia’s growing influence, the discussion of the country’s role in regional security has become more relevant than ever. Independent analysts from the Belarusian Association of Research Centers presented their latest research and discussed the evolution of Belarusian authoritarian governance, Russia’s influence and economic instruments, possible scenarios for democratic transition and risks for the EU, as well as prospects for cooperation.
